Brief Description: Vertical Stabilizer Rear Spar Assembly

Using a step drill, I drilled out, deburred and installed rubber grommets to accommodate wiring at the back of the tip, mid and root ribs.
Clecoed rear spar, spar doubler, and VS hinge brackets together. Taped over spar to rib holes. Back-riveted the bottom 22 flush rivet holes attaching the rear spar and spar doubler. I then used the rivet squeezer to rivet the rest of the spar, doubler and hinge bracket assembly.
Using the pnuematic rivet squeezer I riveted the front VS spar to the tip, mid, root, and bottom nose ribs, leaving the rear spar assembly unattached until skin installation is complete.
All rivets used are those recommended in the plans published by Van's.
