Brief Description: Clecoed and Final Drilled Vertical Stab Assembly
Fluted the vertical stabilizer tip, mid, root, and lower nose ribs. Used a stainless steel ruler to verify hole alignment as straight. I then clecoed the tip, mid, and root ribs to the rear spar assembly and final drilled at the intersecting points. I then clecoed the front v.s. spar to the tip, mid, root and lower nose ribs and final drilled (#30) the intersecting points.
I used a soldering iron to remove the vinyl covering from the rivet lines of the vertical stabilizer skin and placed it on the clecoed skeletal structure of the vertical stabilizer. I clecoed the skin in place and final drilled (#40) the skin to ribs and spars.
I then disassembled the entire vertical stabilizer assembly.
