Drilled a hole near the bottom of the stick—just above the mounting boss. Started with 1/8” and progressively drilled it up to 3/8”. Drilled the hole at approximately 45 degree angle to make the wire slide thru more easily. I removed the power coat on the upper end of the stick using my band sander. Slipped the grip onto the stick and installed in fuse. I climbed in, determined what position felt most comfortable and marked the stick. Removed the grip and stick. Marked the stick for the slot where the wires enter the stick. And then I had a major brain fade! The slot should be .4” to .5” wide, but I managed to cut the slot just under .7” wide. Crud! Will ask the VAF board, but may end up ordering a new stick.
