Started on the switch panel—aka right forward arm rest. I plan to install 6 toggle switches and a dimmer in this panel. The arm rest is narrow at the back and wider in the front. I debated way too long on whether to center the switches width wise or set them parallel to the inside flange. I’ve seen it both ways as well as other layouts on various logs. Finally decided to set the switches parallel to the inside flange. I laid out the holes on poster board and then on a scrap strip of aluminum. Then I used a Whitney punch to transfer 3/32” holes to the armrest. I drilled out the first 3 holes with a unibit, then final drilled to 15/32”. Added the first 3 switches to check the layout. Spacing looks good.
