Brief Description: Mount Xponder antenna, secure wires
Tonight I applied some sealant to the base of the transponder antenna, then secured the mount inside the fuselage—torqued the nuts to 20” inch/pounds per instructions. I used a DAP product that is a siloconized latex. An EAA video says this stuff is paintable, unlike many silicone products. Time will tell. Next I drilled several holes along seat ribs to secure the ADAHRS bundle, the A/P servo bundle and the 18 ga wire for the master switch. I left a loop so that I could plug and unplug both the bundles from their respective plugins. Vacuumed out the inside of the fuse and installed the backboards. Next up is to cleco on the rear deck—and then the fun begins.
