Finally got the access door mod all sorted out in my head. As my friend Richard says “don’t over-noodle it”. Anyway, I laid out the doubler on a sheet of .032 and cut the outside with a dremel cutoff wheel. Started on the inside cut and got only about 3 inches. My 35+ year old dremel began smoking-before I could turn it off, it popped a circuit breaker. Long story short-my dremel is dead. Can’t say enough about this tool—I’ve used it for everything under the sun. Will pick up a new one tomorrow and get on with cutting the doubler.
