Edge finished left outboard skin. Countersunk for NAS rivets to hold the nutplates for the inspection cover. Drilled the screw holes to #19, and used pneumatic squeezer to dimple for #8 screws. Checked on tank test. Still up and down—following the temp in the shop. As long as it is not continually dropping, I feel pretty certain that there are no leaks in the tank. Still need to file a scarf joint for the left & right outboard skins. It is obvious that the inboard skin get a scarf on the outside of the skin, but very hard to tell from the plans which side to scarf for the outboard skin. Have seen various logs where the outboard skin was filed on the inside and some filed on the outside of the skin. I am going with the inside—think that should fit the best.
