Finally back to airplane work—almost. We sold our home in Amarillo in August and built a house out in the country north of Dallas. Have spent the last 4 months or so finishing up the house, moving etc. Yesterday, my son and I flew to Amarillo, rented a 26’ Uhaul and moved the RV8 project to its new home. Besides the truck, I also rented 2 dozen moving blankets. Used nearly 2 rolls of duct tape to wrap all the tail feathers and other parts in blankets before the 6 hour drive—everything came through without any problems. I still have some finishing up in the shop before I get back to building, but hopefully it won’t be long now!
