Found a location for the 3rd eyeball just above and offset from the outboard eyeball. Used a template to drill the mounting holes and the center hole. Opened up the center hole with a step-drill until the knockout punch bolt would fit thru. This made a cleaner hole than using 2 different size punches. Drilled out the 2nd eyeball center to 21/64”. This center of this eyeball came out much more centered than the first one I drilled—probably because I did not remove it from the clamped position until after the final pass with a 21/64” bit. As with the first eyeball, I started with 1/8” and drilled up in 1/64” increments. Cable fits nicely in the eyeball. Test fit the three eyeballs to the firewall—looks like location should work ok.
Eyeballs mounted-center still needs to be drilled to 21/64"
Aft side of firewall--
