Brief Description: Added Fire Barrier -Brake Resevoir & Battery Post
Finally, I got back to the shop. My firewall forward kit is due to arrive in a few days, but had a small project to take care of first. When I originally installed the pass thru for the battery cable and the brake reservoir, I used high temp RTV around them to form a seal . However, after researching on VAF, it appears that RTV is not sufficient for a fire barrier. Much thanks to Dan Horton for numerous testing of various sealants. I ordered a tube of 3M 2000 degree fire sealant, then removed both items and cleaned the old RTV off. Coated the items and re-attached to the firewall.
