Brief Description: Sika inside joint of right skirt
Nancy and I removed the canopy and laid it upside down on a padded quilt on the work table. We decided to work on only the right side of skirts tonight. I taped off the canopy rails, then applied the 205 cleaner. Waited the required 10 minutes, then applied the 209 primer. The area we were gluing was between the bottom of the plexi and the skirt as it curves away from the canopy—this was mostly a cosmetic application. After an entry into a holding pattern, I circled the shop for 30 minutes, then began applying the Sikaflex. Nancy and I smoothed the joint using a wet gloved finger. I pulled the tape from the inside of the skirts, then pulled the tape from the upper rail. The joint looks about as good as we can get it—not sure it will be visible anyhow. Tomorrow night we’ll finish the left side.
