Tonight I started work on the Infinity grips. Measured from the mounting boss on the front stick to the bottom of the grip while the grip was held just under the panel—about 8.375”. Removed the stick from the controls. Next, I added the distance the stick fits inside the grip-(2.125”) to arrive at the distance for the cut at 10.5” from the mounting boss. Jon Throcker details this measuring procedure on VAF—good write up. I clamped the stick in the vice and cut off the end with a hack saw. Smoothed up the cut area on the band sander and polished on the scotchbrite wheel.
