Brief Description:  Screws thru fuse sides into gear weldments-2

Removed the “too long” screws and cut them down on the scotchbrite wheel—took 1thread off of each and smoothed up the edges. Reinstalled the screws—now have clearance with the screws coming from the bottom (mystery holes). Not much clearance, but they aren’t touching anymore and still have 2 threads showing. Finished installing the rest of the screws (all but one on each side) and torqued them the 20 inch pounds . Installed the outboard wearplates and brackets. Torqued them to 65 inch pounds. Added orange torque seal to all I had installed. Got a bit much of some of the nuts in the very bottom of the tower, but I can’t see it as a problem and no one will be looking in there but me (and maybe a DAR). I left one screw out on each side until the outboard brackets are permanently installed. Plan to start on the parking brake tomorrow evening.
