Built a rod end bearing tool, AKA-A Genuine Aeronautical Control Surface Interface Insertion and Adjustment Tool-per Sam Buchanan’s specifications. Thanks, Sam—great tip! Built a brake from some 2x8’s and 5 hinges. I’ve been dreading bending the trailing edge, however, it turned out to be a non-event. Actually, it was much easier than I thought it would be. Just bent it a little at a time, frequently flipping the rudder in the brake. Although, I did not use a dowel rod, the trailing edge ended very nicely formed. It did not require additional bending with hand seamer. I must have gotten real lucky!
