The rib had been clamped for 24 hrs so i removed all the clamps. I was very surprise at the weight and solid feel of the rib. It was alot heavier than i imaged. I'll have to get a scale soon and weight them. But how solid it felt was the most surprising it was very stiff and would not flex hardly at all. I am more than confident these ribs are more than adequate for the job. I raised the router again and buzzed off the excess gussets hanging over the capstrips. It looked great i am very proud of my first rib ever. It still needs some final sanding but i'll do that when all my ribs are done and i can clamp them together, See the picture with the smile on my face. I took my first rib to work with me to show a fellow builder my first rib. He like what he saw. He recommended making a couple extra just in case something happened to one or two. If nothing did i would have some to hang on the wall. Good idea. One down, thirty three to go.
