Brief Description:  Back riveting tank stiffeners

My brother came to visit for the 2nd time in 1 year. During the time he was visiting we mad a lot of progress on the fuel tanks, although not as much progress as we thought we would. Image #1 is of a bunch of rivets soaking in MEK for cleaning purposes... Turns out that these rivets were apparently too hard because we had a LOT of problems with consistancy, even though we were back-riveting with a VERY heavy plate (approx 1"x6"x18")... We tried some newer rivets and had MUCH better results. In image #2, you can see proseal mixed and applied while/prior to adding the stiffeners... Mike helped me 'lather up' each stiffener and and then we pressed each in place and riveted. Although it threatened rain, the weather was perfect for this work... Cool, but not too cold... we were able to work outside for the most part. In photo #3, I'm seating the stiffeners to the skin to pre-squeeze any excess pro-seal out... The concern being that the very viscous pro-seal might keep the stiffener from fully 'seating' against the skin during the short time a rivet is being driven, resulting in a 'pillowed' skin or stiffener.... Don't know if this was at all necessary, but we did it anyway, "just in case".
