I did several touch ups of sanding and adding resin to get nice edges and a flat targa strip. Finally I decided it is done. The aft end is about a tenth of an inch thick. The forward edge is only one layer of tape high. At painting time it will need a little more fill and priming.
The inside shows the carbon tape which is cool, but there is one spot where resin didn't get all the way to the strip so it has a cloudy look. I'll probably paint the inside too.
The strip does make the canopy stiffer, which is nice.
I may end up taping the side walls of the canopy but not now. I'll do that after I rivet the forward most top skin to ensure final fit.
