The aft latch spans across the fuselage. First thing the plan says is to bend the pointy tabs to make sure they fit into the oval slots. Mine do.
I maked the bearing blocks with a centerline and clamped them into position so that I could see the line thru the holes. One of my blocks is slightly thicker than the other. And the co-pilot side holes didn't line up exactly on the line, but they were mostly in the center. So I drilled them.
