The connecting rods for the release mechanism require holes in the ends, at very specific distances apart. I drilled them with a pipe holder on the drill press. Still I had trouble making the holes centered because the bit wonders. I need to improve this process for future.
Then I enlarged the holes using the uni-bit.
It is hard to get these two holes on one rod exactly parallel. I used a guide and my results are good enough. The hinge pins can rotate so I don't think these holes have to be exactly parallel. I hope.
