I clamped and drilled the fwd fuselage gussets. One thing to watch out for is the outboard edge of the gusset should align with the outboard edge of the longeron. NOT THE EDGE OF THE SIDE SKIN. If you move these gussets outboard to much you'll have an edge margin problem on the steel weldmount bracket which is underneath the longeron.
One of my was slightly outboard, but still well within the outer skin line and my edge margins on the steel weldmount are just minimally acceptable. I'm not sure if edge margin matters with steel, but assuming it does, be careful not to slide this gusset to far outboard.
