Brief Description: Aft Fuselage - Cleco Together for Riveting 1
I've been on a business trip and am now ready to get back into this building of the RV-7A. Time to rivet the aft fuselage. First I gotta get it clecoed back together. I started with the tail cone and considered riveting it as a separate piece. But I worried that I might want to make adjustments or that it wouldn't fit so I decided to clecoe the whole thing together before riveting anything.
I discovered that the side skins didn't mate to the bottom skin nice and smooth. I even curled the edge. So I had to re-curl the edge again, and I used my seamer to bend that radius on the side skins just a bit more so that the seem to the bottom skin was as flush as possible. I ended up removing clecoes and doing the bottom to the side skins first and getting that seam good. Then I added the rest of the clecoes.
