To hold the aft end of the antenna I made a littlle overlap with fiberglass. I mounted it with screws and tape and then laid fiberglass over a couple inches of it. I put electric tape and wax on about 2 inches so fiberglass wouldn't stick to it. Once it was done, and sanded smooth it looked good and held the antenna against the tip just fine. Antenna slides in an out of the little overlap.
