I assembled the Rudder frame today. The root of the rudder has many different length rivets. Notice the photo below the rivet embedded into the platenute. I called Van's and they said this was fine and reminded me that the rivets on the platenuts are merely to hold the platenuts while the bearing bolts are screwed in.
