Brief Description:  Tail Installation for Final Time 3

Next, in order to tell if the left / right deflextion of the rudder is correct you need the elevators on because the rudder swings to within 1 1/8 inch of the elevators.

So before putting the elevators on, I checked out the pitch trim mechanism. I discovered, that I really didn't have the right wiring solution. I needed to add wire to the trim motor that could be fed back to the tail section. The right way to have done this would be to feed the wires out of the tail to this motor, but I'm doing it backwards. It will work for maintenance. I used DSub pins on wires at the motor so if the motor ever needs to be replaced you can pull these pins and put in a new motor. If you ever need to pull the elevator, same thing. If you need to pull the HS, there is a connector at the tail.

I also noticed that the push/pull bar on this little motor does not have stop nuts. Nor do the plans call for stop nuts. But I added them anyway. Just seems like you should have them.
