I put the plastic tip on the airplane and marked where to trim off a little height so that the bottom of the tip is in line with the fuselage. I cut off only about 3/8 inch.
The tail wire exits the fuselage low. Then plan to use an adel clamp to hold it below the hinge. From here the wire will drop into the plastic tip.
