Brief Description: Flap Mechanism 3 Drilling Hole in Actuator End
Then I drilled the little hole in the end of the ball screw actuator for the safety wire.
I drilled a hole in line with its longitudinal axis first and then tried to angle it out the side. But nope I broke off the drill bit in the hole.
So then I drilled in from the side. And I hit the broken drill bit piece. I was able to use a pin and push the broken bit out. It was fairly easily. I had used a lot of BoeLube and I think that helped.
So the holes meet and work fine. I stuck some wire in there and it goes right thru.
Then I also drilled a hole thru the bearing end so I could wire it all from turning.
