I'm even priming the parts now. Following priming I will rivet on any platenuts needed. Doing this piece by piece keeps the job interesting and avoids a giant debur session on all the parts at once.
I'm still using spray can primer, but I am scuffing up the aluminum with scotchbrite and thoroughly cleaning and degreasing the parts prior to priming. I hope this works okay for eventual painting of the interior.
