Brief Description: Flaps - Making the FL-706A Spar Doubler
Today I made the FL-706A which is kind of a spar doubler. I cut two of them from the angle stock using the band saw. Then I sand to final dimensions on the belt sander. I used my mitre guide to keep things square. I also used a square to help ensure all sides remain orthogonal. It doesn't show below, but before I drilled any holes in this part I assembled it with the spar and rib and the FL-706B doubler. Then I clamped it and dismantled parts that weren't needed for drilling and then drilled using the spar as a guide and using the 706B as a guide. It went fine.
