The first thing to do is make sure the panel fits and fix up the major structure like ribs to hold the panel. The obvious initial problem is the Garmin 430's length. It cuts thru the sub-panel. At first I thought this was a problem, but I got out the hack saw and started cutting. In the end it all works out very well.
I was worried my canopy hinge latch would have to be redesigned and moved. But not. If fits as was. Just some of the doubler was removed, but you'll see in a minute the major ribs reinforce this area.
