Same preps had to be done for the HS. I peeled all the blue celephane off. I ruffed up the skin with grey scotchbrite. And this time I swiped some glazing compound on all the holes on the top of the HS to see if I like the painted result better. Recall the elevator painting showed me that paint doesn't get in around the flush rivets very well.
I didn't make the rivets flush with the skin using the glazing compound. I just did a tight swipe to fill the gap around the flush rivet head. Well see if this gives a better result.
Then I also had to make a fixture to hold it. In this case it is a stand 30" off the ground.
Oh and I had to remove all the grey spray can primer. I used acetone and it wipes off pretty easy but ruins a lot of rags. Rags are cheap but what a mess. The stand also holds the HS flat and I plan to put the last coat of paint on thick and wet and want to keep gravity from making runs.
