Okay, after reviewing the plans – it seems that I riveted in 12 places I shouldn’t have. Opps. So I spent the first 90 mins. Today drilling out (carefully) the rivets place oh so good. This was successful and no holes were damaged.
Moving on to the next step: Rudder
Carefully laid out the rudder and stiffeners. Sized them according to plans. Spent some time working the TE angles and will tackle that tomorrow. In re-reading, Vans has pro-seal as a TE bonding, but in the general description uses 3M tape. Order some tape this evening and will be here Wednesday. HS replacement parts will be here Wednesday, too.
Will work on the fabrication of the stiffeners tomorrow.
