Brief Description:  Section 34, Antennas

Installing the rest of the antennas on the upper wing gap seal. These antennas have specifications on how far they have to be away from other antennas, but that's impossible to fully follow on this plane. I had previously installed the transponder and ADS-B antennas under the avionics tray, pointing downwards. They had to be two feet from each other, which I was able to achieve. I put the GPS puck antenna up front, because it's not supposed to be "in the shadow" of another antenna. It also says to be three feet from any transmitting antenna, but in another place, says to be more than a foot from the COM antenna (which transmits, of course), so one foot away was the best I could do. The COM is supposed to be at least three feet from the ELT antenna, but the best I could do is a foot. We'll see if there's any negative effect, but they wouldn't normally be transmitting at the same time, so I don't see what the problem is.
