Brief Description:  ADAHRS, pitot, static, AOA

One of the last tasks under the nose after wiring, need to connect all the tubes that tell the computer how fast we're going and the angle of the wing, among other things. I had already run this tubing with the wiring, so it's just a matter of hooking it up.

The Angle of Attack is first, and easiest, as it just connects right in with nothing else.

I then connected the pitot pressure line, but needed to add a "T" to also send the signal to the gear alert computer, so it can sense when I might be coming in for a landing.

Finally, the static, which is easy, but involves drilling a couple of holes in my hull, which always makes me nervous. Also, a lot of thought has to go into the placement of the ports, so they are far enough back not to get any oncoming air directed into it, far enough forward not to get in the way of the instruments behind the panel, and high enough not to get wet. I chose 4" away from where the panel ends and the canopy track will start, and an inch down from where the bottom of the nose deck will sit. I placed a "T" to the same kind of static port I installed on the starboard side, as two static ports are easy to do and makes it much more accurate. When I get the nose on, I'll make sure I run the tubing higher than the ports, to ensure against water intrusion.
