Brief Description:  Beginning of panel wiring

Five long weeks without touching her! I'm so ashamed! (well, I did wash 'er twice)

I've used this time to plan and purchase various things.

I was first getting all my avionics from the factory (Advanced Flight Systems avionics), but the factory dropped the ball big time on that, so I had to switch gears and bought a complete Dynon Skyview system. I put in a massive order to Aircraft Spruce & Co. for just about the entire Dynon system, the 10.1" display, ADAHRS, EMS, transponder, ADS-B receiver, Radio, Comm/intercomm, etc. I also bought tons of sensors I thought I'd need to monitor the engine and atmosphere, plus landing lights, cockpit light, antennas, emergency locator, fittings, and on and on.

I bought very attactive switches from Aerosport Products. They were nice enough to create a "Bilge Pump" switch for me, and had everything else I needed marked in stock.

I bought a basic wiring harness from Aircraft Components Inc., along with many components such as flaps controller, gear controller, landing gear warning system, power breaker buss, and so on.

I also got in all the decals I designed to put on the outside of the plane. I've been waiting for the paint to fully cure before puting on the stickers, but now it's too humid out to do it, so I'll get them on with the next north wind.

First thing I've got to do is learn to use my new label maker. ACI was nice enough to mark the wires, but with a cryptic code that must be looked up in an index. I'm going to label each wire in plain English, while laying them out and becoming familiar with it all. I also need to buy a better quality wire crimper than I have, and get a good assortment of connectors.
