I sent the last pieces left to the paintshop today, which includes the instrument panel. On the way back, I stopped by the SeaRey factory and picked up these control stick boots they're putting on their Elite Certified model. This is one of those "don't let your wife find out how much it costs" kind of items... not cheap, but adding touches like this is what makes an extraordinary plane, and that's always been my goal.
These fit very tightly around the top of the control stick, and required not only the removal and disassembly of the sticks, but to also undo all the wiring. So, what I thought was going to be a 30 second job of velco-ing them around the sticks, required four hours of work, but I think they're worth it.
