Brief Description: A look at the center console with the throttle
I put the center console back on to check the results and I couldn’t be happier. At this point, I could always make minor adjustments at each end of the cable by adjusting the screw, but I don’t believe it will be necessary… just seems perfect now.
The Viking engine normally idles at nearly 1800rpms, but has a spring setting which allows you to pull the cable a bit more to bring the idle even lower, down to 900rpms, which can help in certain circumstances such as start-up and shutdown. I allowed enough room in the lever travel on the idle side, so I can pull harder and initiate this when I want to.
So now, brakes are fully functional, and the throttle is fully functional… this lever is done!
