Brief Description:  Wings update - 02

One thing I did not mention in the previous post is my methods for ensuring the spars are straight. I have a laser level that is aligned with the centerline of the forward spar. I check it periodically to make sure there are no bends or twists. I also placed two strings along the spars, forward and aft. Each string is a specific distance from the aft edge of the flange. I periodically measure along the spar to make sure the spar is not bowing downward. You can see the upper string in image one.

After cleaning up all the shavings from the drilling process I placed the nose ribs on the forward spar. I need to run a fishing line through the tooling holes in the nose of the spars so I can align them vertically and horizontally. As all the nose ribs came from the same form if the string passes through the tooling hole in the same way the ribs are aligned.
