Brief Description:  Canopy and systems

I decided to disassemble as much of the canopy frame as possible. Somewhere there was some stress and I needed to pull the sides down and in. After tweeking several different areas (the 631A flutes, the radius in the WD-712 side rails, etc) I ended up with what you see in the first two images. The right side sits proud about 1/16" and the left side about 1/32". But that came with a cost. The WD-712 is suppose to sit 1/8" above the canopy side decks, but in one area my sits much closer. The canopy closes on weatherstripping, so I can vary the thickness of the weatherstripping if necessary. Any attempt at raising the WD-712 places an upward movement on the canopy skin resulting in a greater gap. At this stage I am going to accept this smaller gap and wait until the canopy is on the frame. Its weight will alter everything and I will be making small adjustments again anyway.

I need to trim the clamp marks off the canopy before setting it on the fuselage. The clamp marks come from the clamps in the mold. It was suppose to be in the high 80s today, but did not get there. I want the canopy hot when I cut it. While I wait I am going to work on systems, starting with the front and working my way back.
