Brief Description:  Disassembly

Yesterday I used Devcon aluminum putty to resovle one of the last issues with the canopy skin. In image one the red arrow points to a row of rivets in the skin that do not make connect with the frame underneath. The skin has one arc and the frame underneath has a tighter arc. This is also a problem on the aft portion of the frame that runs across the cockpit. I wish I had a better photo, but it is all I have right now. If I clecoed the skin, the skin would deform and place an upward pressure on the bottom of the skin at the yellow skin. I used the aluminum putty to increase the width of the frame to make connect with the skin. This morning I sanded tehe putty to form the frame in the same arc as the skin and then redrilled the rivet line. Satisfied with the final fit I disassembled everything for priming and paint.

While everything is apart I will do the final paint of the interior/
