Brief Description: More engine work for the week - 02
One other item that needs to be installed is the left magneto. I received that gasket for it and the carburetor as well. After getting the fuel pump on I positioned the engine to TDC for the number 1 cylinder and checked the timing mark on the ring gear. Everything is set. Now the magneto can go back on. I need to borrow a timing light.
I installed the carburetor and torqued the bolts to the engine manual specifications. I also changed the clocking on the Red Cube fitting for the line that runs to the carburetor. I have not torqued the fuel lines yet. They may come back off before engine start; so I added this to my pre-run checklist.
