I again jacked the aircraft to unload all 3 landing gear and level the airplane. I plumbed the aircraft's centerline, and used my laser leveler to mark the tire's centerline reference, marking all points on the floor.
I taped a wood block atop the tire to provide the required clearance between the fairing and the tread. I again used a wooden "wall" with a piece of hinge pin to provide the height reference for the fairing's aft end. With all items aligned, I slowly cut and sanded the tire hole, positioned the fairing, and drilled through to the screw holes in the underlying bracket.
