I taped two sections of 0.063 and 0.032 ALCLD together and used those sections as shims between the wheel brake discs and wheel pants brackets: These should give the brackets some strength and rigidity when I drilled into them from the outside. I marked drill points onto the pants brackets: Black dots that I could see through the translucent wheel pants. With the wheel pants aft halves aligned and mounted, I installed the nose caps then drilled through them into the pants brackets, creating the screw holes.
