Brief Description:  Forward Access Panels redux

I wasn't happy with the access panels I created on 15 December. I made them from 0.040" sheet alclad, but dimpling them for the screws created pretty bad cratering and wave patterns. I decided to make new panels out of 0.063" sheet, and countersink the screw holes rather than dimple.

It's Christmas, and my wife's sister's family has come to town. My nephew Noah Thompson loves helping, so I put him to work over the next few days helping me with N260KM.

Image 1 shows one of the new access panels in place and drilled with pilot holes. We then backdrilled through the platenuts with #40 to create pilot holes for all the screw holes. We then final-drilled to accept the screws (images 2 & 3).
