I used manila folder (medium weight card stock) to shape the templates for the prop cutouts in the spinner. These took time and patience, but made for great templates. Nobody told me to make a template for each blade, but I did it anyway just in case the props were different. Sure enough, there was enough difference to make the extra effort worthwhile.
