Brief Description: Seatbelt cable wear plates/blocks for aft cargo wa
I fabricated wear plates/blocks from thick aluminum to mount onto the cargo aft wall. The aircrew shoulder harnesses are anchored by a cable that runs aft into the fuselage. This cable runs through a slot in the aft cargo wall. These blocks provide a wear surface that encases the cable, preventing the cable from wearing and gouging the thinner wall aluminum.
Fabricating the blocks was a snap, but installing them was tough! I'm not that proud of how the blocks aren't perfectly aligned with the slots in the cargo wall. Rather than re-re-redrilling, I have decided to not let perfect be the enemy of good.
