Brief Description: Central stick linkage, cockpit floors
The control sticks are linked with a cross tube and swivel on u-joint-like connectors with lubricated brass tube bushings. We had to ream those out to accept AN-4 bolts...slow process with lots of lube and patience. Once reamed, they went straight into the bushing tubes with a touch of grease.
I temporarily installed the linkage into the central fuselage to fit-test....A-OK.
At times during this process, the drill bit would 'freeze' in the brass tube due to thermal expansion. While they cooled, I used that time to remove the cockpit floors to prepare for this and future work.
