Lastly, I screwed on the 6 access panels to both wings' bottoms. I'm calling the wings done for now. I'll defer the following jobs until it's time to prep the wings to mount to the fuselage: - Wingtips. I still need to trim, mount the wingtip rib, install all the platenuts, mount the wingtip lights and reflective surface, and mount the clear lens. Instead, I'll keep everything wrapped and protected. - Flaps. They're ready to attach, but I'll wrap and store them rather than letting them flop around up on the wing.
Next weekend we'll move the wings to storage and bring in the fuselage!
