Brief Description: Riveting left elevator skin to skeleton
Next we riveted the skin onto the left elevator skeleton. Easy going except for that last rivet.
In image 2, you see me using my thin-but-solid tire iron as a back-rivet bucking bar. I clamped the elevator down flush to my steel plate, and used the tire iron as an offset surface to which I can apply force from my rivet gun to the rivet shop head.
Slow and steady, under higher pressure. Worked great!
