Brief Description:  Tank Sealing

Finally started sealing the tank up today. First everything had to be cleaned with alumiprep. Then I back- riveted the stiffeners, them moved on to the drain. Got the outboard rib sealed up and installed the ER tank bung and reinforcement plate. Finished up with the refueling flange. I'm not sure which is more harmfull to humans between the MEK, AlumiPrep, and ProSeal, but I wore a filter the entire time...what's the fun of flying if you aren't around to do it. The ProSeal wasn't as hard to handle as I thought it would be. I was a little worred about the cold, The shop was around 40 degrees so it was pretty thick. The first batch was around 40 grams, which was a little bit short, the next batch was 100 grams and that worked out to be perfect.
