The Chapter visit was good for me because it is the impetus that I need to get this project going again. I spent some time after the group left to finish up the last of the panels. I fabricated the angles that hold the outboard sides of the forward panels, primed them and the back sides of the panels and the rivetted the angles to the fuselage sides. Van's calls for pulled rivets, but the length is way too long, since the side panels are double walled and unless you want to drill right through the outer skin, the spec'd rivets don't work. So I used shorter rivets; this is not a structural piece. It merely holds the panels in place.Tomorrow on to the flap motor and linkage!
